Reine Uranisotope - insbesondere Uran-235 und Uran-238 - spielen in allen Bereichen der Kerntechnik, der Kernwaffentechnik sowie als Ausgangsmaterial für die Erzeugung von Nukliden anderer Elemente eine wichtige Rolle.
